SC Swing Couplings

OETIKER Swing Couplings allow unrestricted full flow with safe, quick connection and disconnection under pressure. This unique design provides superior sealing, ease of operation and long service life.

OETIKER Swing Couplings interchange with most common plug systems, providing a universal and flexible connection. The quality and reliability of the products have been officially certified.

OETIKER Quality Features

Materials
OETIKER Swing Couplings are manufactured from select grades of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Additional special surface treatment on housings and cylinders guarantee durability with little wear and tear, and high corrosion resistance. The orange coloring on the release sleeve signifies safety - the plastic coating affords increased grip and can also prevent damage to work pieces.

Seals
OETIKER Swing Couplings are fitted with Nitrile elastomer seals NBR as standard. Optional FPM, EPDM or FFKM seals are available on request. Every OETIKER Swing Coupling is leakage tested.

Lubricants
OETIKER Swing Couplings are treated with high quality lubricant before they leave the factory. Special lubricants are available for specific applications.

Safely connected and disconnected under pressure

Features
• In accordance with ISO 6150, Safety Standard ISO 4414 and MILC 4109
• Wide range of interchangeability
• Full flow, negligible loss of pressure
• Easy to operate, easy to clean
• Compact design with few individual parts
• Ergonomic design, quality engineered suitable for vacuum
• Connect and disconnect safely - under pressure
• Simultaneous venting reduces the dangerous whiplash effect
• Partly covered with plastic coating for protection

Applications
• Compressed air supply for pneumatic tools and automation equipment.
• Supply lines carrying low viscosity fluids and gases.

Pressure
Maximum pressure rating of 25 bar/360 psi up to approximately 100 mbar vacuum.

Temperature
Standard model from -20° to +100°C (-4° to +212°F). Higher temperatures possible according to media with the use of special FPM, EPDM or FFKM seals.

Chemical Resistance
In the case of chemically aggressive media, the material for the housing and seals must be agreed with us - or the customer's own tests should be carried out before a decision as to the material is reached.

Note
Use only on supply lines up to 25 bar (360 PSI). For safety, do not exceed pressure limitation of the hose and/or operated device. If plugs with barbed stem are used, make sure barb size matches inside diameter of the hose. All fittings/plugs must be secured to the hose with a hose clamp, preferably and OETIKER Clamp.

Connect
• Insert plug fully into coupling housing angled position
• Swing plug with hose attached to straight position

Disconnect
• Manually retract release sleeve
• Swing plug into angled position and separate from coupling
